What are the Course Prerequisites?

Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Pharmacology are highly recommended for this course. While those topics are covered in this course, they are general in nature, and not intended to replace comprehensive courses on those subjects. A basic understanding of medical insurance is also helpful.

What books are included?

The CRC Manual (eBook) is included. Depending on the package you select the ICD-10-CM book (current year) will be included. Any publisher can be used for the course (ex: AAPC or Optum).

What equipment is needed?

The course works best on a computer with high-speed internet utilizing Google Chrome. As well as Adobe Reader for downloads.

How long will I have access to the course?

6 months of Access to AAPC and KW Advanced Consulting curriculum, although the course can be completed in 16 weeks. Extensions are available after the 6-month access, if needed, for an additional fee.

How many AAPC CEU will be given with completion of the course?

Course completion with a minimum of 70% passing will receive 30 AAPC CEUs.

Is financial assistance available?

Payment plans are available. If the payment plan option is selected, the authorized deposit amount and an additional $50.00 will be processed. All payment plans have a non- refundable $550 deposit due the day of the signed agreement, for a total of $600. Three – Four Bi-weekly payments of $500 will be due after an agreement is signed until course is paid in full.

Is the exam Voucher fee included in the price?

Exam fee includes the exam voucher (2 attempts). In 2023 exams can be taken in person or virtual. If you would like to take the exam virtually, you must alert the instructor at the time of registration.

What happens if a payment is late?

Non-adherence to the scheduled payment plan will immediately restrict your Blackboard access to the course until payment is made and processed.
